    Fall School Tours Come explore and enjoy Fall on the Farm. Participate in over 20 Farmyard Play Area activities, visit the farm animals, and go for a wagon ride. Each student will be given (1) animal feeding cone. All school trips are self-led. Howell's Farm does not provide guided school visits and designated areas for lunch. Upon arrival teachers will be given a printout outlining educational opportunities around the farm. Work at Howells! Looking for work in a fun unique environment? Look no further Howells will be looking for staff of all ages and interests to work on the farm for our October Fall Festival. Application Requirements Applicants must be 14+ years old to apply Must be legally able to work in Canada Must have reliable transportation to and from the farm Email staff@howells.ca with a resume and your full name. Positions for Bar staff, Campfire staff and Wagon Drivers will have 1 on 1 interviews. Positions for cashiers, attractions staff, and janitorial crew will be invited to group interview sessions. Work at Howells! Attractions Staff What a great place to have fun, smile and engage with farm visitors. Attractions staff can work in a variety of positions such as attractions gate, jumping pillow, pumpkin slingshot, apple cannon, corn maze, spook barn, the Rex show, pig races and more! Can work solo or as a team depending on the position. You must be customer service oriented as you are the face of fun! Kitchen Staff The kitchen staff always have a great time! You are responsible for so many of our delicious famous comfort food items like fries, poutines, donuts, and funnel cakes. This is a fast paced environment that requires attention to detail, and excellent communication! Firepit Staff Work within a tight knit team, providing a casual yet outstanding customer experiences at our private firepit rentals. Our firepits are located within the rolling hills surrounded with a variety of nut trees. Tasks such as set up, tear down are included. Customer service is a must as you greet our customers and seat them at their assigned firepit. Must be 18+ and have valid Smart Serve, firepits have their own private bar! Janitorial Staff Be prepared to get hands on with the farm! Our janitorial team is responsible for maintaining the clean atmosphere around the farm, cleaning tables, mopping floors emptying garbage and recycling, cleaning washrooms, stocking items for sale such as straw bales, corn stalks, pumpkins along with any other minor tasks assigned as needed. Market Staff Our market team are super sweet! They are responsible for so many of the wonderful treats that are so popular at the farm such as lemonade, cotton candy, fudge, candy apples, cold and hot beverages and so many more!! Will be cash trained ensuring order accuracy, positive customer service and processing payments. Bar Staff Be prepared to bring your personality!! This is such a fun position as you get to speak to so many of our farm visitors. The fun here is never ending. We pride ourselves on our selection of local craft beers, ciders and wines. Recommend fan or personal favourites ensuring a high level of customer service. Must be 18+ and have valid Smart Serve. Cashier/Customer Service Staff As part of our Cashier and Customer Service team you must have a positive and glowing personality. You are the first and last faces that our farm visitors see!! Responsibilities include reviewing purchased tickets, checking in guests upon arrival, answering questions as needed, selling game tokens, managing seasons passes and weighing/selling pumpkins. Keep an eye on our socials for employment postings and opportunities.   • FAQ's | Howells Farm

    FAQ'S How do I apply to work at the farm? Please email staff@howells.ca with any employment inquiries. Are strollers allowed? Yes, strollers are allowed! Please note that some of our paths are gravel, wood chipped or even natural terrain meaning some stroller styles can be a little more difficult to navigate the farm. Umbrella style strollers are not recommended. We do ask that strollers do not enter the Sunflower field as the rows are narrow and do not allow the space. Strollers can be left near the field entrance while you walk though the flowers. Is there parking? We do have parking at the farm! There is a parking lot directly onsite which also provides accessible parking spaces. We also have a number of overflow parking lots located just a short walk up the road from our farm entrance. Is food available? Yes!! We have a variety of food, snack, and refreshment options on site. Menus can vary seasonally. Running late? It is okay! Things happen and we will still allow entry. We want to ensure everyone enjoys their farm experience. Don't stress and arrive safely! What attractions run only on weekends and week nights During the $25 admission, you'll have access to the same attractions as the $17 admission, like the corn maze, train rides, play areas, slides, and jumping pillow. However, the staffed attractions like the spook barn (haunted house), wagon rides, and games such as zombie paintball, apple cannon, and pumpkin slingshot are only available on weekends and weeknights after 5 PM. So, you'll have a bit more to enjoy during those hours! Is the farm wheelchair accessible? Our farm is located within rolling hills, though beautiful it does mean a select few attractions are not accessible. We use a variety of materials on our farm paths including gravel, wood chips and even the natural terrain. It can be difficult to navigate at times (when wet, muddy etc.) All food and beverage areas are fully accessible as well as our washrooms. Firepits can be reached however, we recommend speaking with customer service first as you will be directed to a different entry point. Is there somewhere to eat? Yes!! We have plenty of outdoor picnic tables throughout the farm. Most seating is located nice and close to our food service area, with some tables also located within the attraction area. We have limited covered seating located at the Beer and Wine Garden also. Are pets allowed? Pets are permitted to visit the Beer and Wine Garden patio area and can come along to select your fall pumpkins! Pets are not permitted within the attraction areas or food service spaces. We do host our popular "Dogs Days". These are days that you can bring your well behaved furry friends with you to the farm to enjoy all we have to offer. Please see our season calendars as these days will be marked with a paw print. Service dogs are always welcome!! Can you enter the farm prior to your ticket time? Our timed tickets are in place to ensure all visitor are able to have their best farm experience. It allows each visitor the time they need to enjoy the attractions we all love so much by keeping line up times to a minimum. Food and Beverage facilities along with our pumpkin sale area can be accessed anytime, your ticket allows you access to the attraction area. Your admission wristband will be available at the time you selected. What should I wear? We are a working farm, with many of our attractions located within our picturesque rolling hills. Keep in mind walking the acres of the farm is required therefore we recommend sensible weather appropriate footwear, shoes or boots can be super cute! Weather varies on the farm, it can be hot, cold, windy, wet and even muddy, you will need to be sure to plan accordingly! How long should we plan to visit? At a minimum your visit will likely be a couple of hours to ensure you enjoy all the attractions the farm has to offer. If you plan to eat or visit our Beer and Wine Garden allow more time for yourself!! What is our weather policy? In the of any type of inclement weather "rain checks" will be will be issued at the discretion of Howells Farm. Often weather conditions in the surrounding areas actually miss us here at the farm and we are able to remain open and operational. To receive a "rain check" inclement weather must be present on-site at the farm in Fonthill. If the farm must close due to inclement weather all ticket bookings will be contacted via email as soon as we know this decision must be made and issued a "rain check". We strive to keep the farm open for advertised operation hours, however the weather is out of our control and customer and staff safety are our priority. How do I use a "rain check"? Make sure you have your gift card code ready (you would have received this through email notification). Visit our website https://www.howells.ca/ to book tickets, select your date and time for your return visit, then when you reach the payment portion click "Apply a gift card", enter your code and voila! What is a "rain check"? A "rain check" is an online credit for your tickets. In the case of inclement weather, Howells Farm would process a credit towards your online purchase. How does this work? You will receive an email notification containing a gift card code. This allows you to rebook at your convenience and discretion. Are tickets refundable? Tickets to our events are non-refundable. This is part of the terms and conditions when purchasing online. If you have a conflict arise you may email our tickets@howells.ca customer service to re-book your timeslot to another day. Who to contact about ticket questions, inquiries or concerns? Please email tickets@howells.ca When should I purchase my tickets? All tickets must be purchased online prior to entry. We have days and times that will sell out. To ensure you you are not turned away we suggest purchasing tickets before you visit the farm. Can you attend on a sold out day/time? Unfortunately when we are sold out we have reached our capacity and do not have additional tickets. Our ticket sales are live online and can change, always keep an eye on the website! Can I purchase tickets at the gate? All tickets sales are online only! Is photography permitted? We absolutely allow photography for personal use!! We encourage that you share with us on social media, we love to see all the fun had on the farm! Photographers can hold sessions during operation hours, photographers and clients are required to purchase admission tickets online prior to the visit. We at times will host Photographer Days which take place on days we are not open to the public. Photographers must purchase a photographer permit, more information will be available if photography days are scheduled in the future. Do we work with influencers? Yes we do!!     Produce No Admission Required to Purchase Produce PUMPKINS Pumpkins are available for purchase during our fall festival. Exploring our pumpkin selection does not require admission and makes for a great photo op as well as home decor. We offer a large varietey of Pumpkins and gourds including Jack O Lantern, Pie, Mellow Yellow, Ghost, Peanut, Goosebumps, mini, baby boos, poercelein doll and more! Each variety sold by weight. SWEET CORN Some of the sweetest sweet corn you can find! Purchase in early fall for a sweet treat. Or try our sweet corn roasted on site! Take home or enjoy cooked! GIANT PUMPKINS Giant pumpkins is something Howells is well known for in the region. With pumpkins reaching 200lbs these are sure to get your neighbors talking. Giants are sold by weight.
